This is the only preplanned city in Broward County, has an area of approximately 26 square miles and borders to the east with Davie, to the south with Southwest Ranches and to the northeast by Sunrise, has an estimated population of 62,000 residents with a median income of more than 100,000 per family.
An affluent, city ranked number 20th on Money Magazine's list of "Biggest Earners" of 2006 and showed the largest job growth in Florida and the number 18th largest in the nation during the same year comprises mostly of gated communities large manicured gardens and tranquil lakes.
