Medley is a small town in the Miami Dade County of Florida. Named after the founder of the community, Sylvester Medley, this town is located in the western part of the county. This is a dense town with a very low population. The focus of this place is industrial development.
Located next to Miami Springs and across Miami River, this town is the home to a Rinker plant, one of the largest businesses in the US. This place also houses the Titan America Pennsuco Cement Plant.
Spread over an area of 4.3 square miles, this town has a population of 843 as of 2016. Of course, the industries have people coming and working during the day and night as well. The original residents of this town are just 843. This area is a predominantly White area with more than 93% of the population belonging to the White Hispanic race. Spanish is the principal language of this town with more than 83% having the mother tongue as Spanish.
The male and female distribution is ideal here with 100 males for every 100 females. You cannot find a better distribution anywhere in the world. The per capita income of the town is around $ 11,955 thereby classifying it as a middle class town.
This place has the highest percentage of Cuban residents in the US. You find a lot of people from South America in this place. The Nicaraguans, Peruvians, Hondurans, etc make up for the rest of the population.
There is not much scope for residential real estate because the majority of the buildings are industrial buildings. The town population definitely cannot afford the high rates that the real estate builders charge.
However, of late, this town is witnessing real estate development with many middle class families being able to afford the nominal houses.
