Sewall's Point
Sewall's Point is a town located in Martin County, Florida, United States. According to the 2010 census it has a population of 1,999. The population recorded by the U.S Census Bureau was 2,078 in the year 2013. Sewall's Point is located on the peninsula of the same name; both the town and the peninsula are named for Capt. Henry Edwin Sewall. According to the U.S Census Bureau this town covers a total area of 4.1 square miles of which 1.2 square miles covers land area and 2.9 square miles is water (about 70%).
This town is bordered by water on the south, east and west due to the peninsula shape of the town. On the south and east side is the St. Lucie River and to the east is the Indian River Lagoon. On the north it is bordered by Jensen beach.
According to the census of 2010, there were 1,999 people, total households were 758 and 607 families were residing in the town, it might have been increased by now. The population density was 1,578 people per square mile. The race classification was dominated by the whites about 98.72%, American African about 0.41%, Asian 0.41%, 0.10% from other races, and 0.36% from two or more races.
As per census, the per capita income for the town was $55,121 which might have increased by now. About 4.6% of families and 4.3% of the population were below the poverty line. Sewall’s Point is organized by a Town Charter which strives to maintain its small town and continue to provide effective and efficient services for health, safety and welfare of its residents. Sewall’s point is known for its natural beauty and scenic views with attractive landscaping. There is an excellent shopping, fine dining experience in addition to the beautiful parks and many cultural activities. Either young or old, there can be no better place to live, work and play than in Sewall’s Point. The town has been nationally recognized as ‘Tree City’ for over two decades having a bird Island.

Martin County Airport, commonly known as Witham Field, is owned and managed by the Martin County Board of County Commissioners. A common bus transport system has been developed fully with proper schedules and routes. Elementary, primary and high school facilities are provided to the residents. Sewall’s Point has a beautiful park with a playground for children and several benches angled to enjoy beautiful water views. You may also enjoy fishing in the river and the water retention area.
